This Thai-inspired bodywork incorporates muscle manipulation techniques with assisted stretches and meditation in order to achieve a deep state of relaxation. A modality of slow and intentional touch seeks to soothe the physical body, reduce stress, and calm the nervous system. Intuition is a guiding force throughout this work as is a thorough understanding of the human body. Through thoughtful posture and meditative practice we will be able to tune in to our intuition and arrive at a place of compassion for both the self and others. This type of bodywork combination leads to lasting change and re-education in the mind and body.
Thai bodywork is traditionally done fully clothed on a mat on the floor. Please be dressed in clothing you can move comfortably in. The client can expect to be moved and stretched throughout the entire session. While this work is deeply relaxing and sedating for the nervous system, it also requires a level of awareness on the client’s behalf. The client will be coached through beneficial breathing techniques throughout the session as different pathways of tension and discomfort in the body are explored. The feedback given by the client will only aid in the ability to optimize the experience.
